A blog about all things cool and nerdy.

Once in a long while, a rare type of song comes along. A song you never want to end. A Song so pure and powerful that it seems amplifiers and bass boost were made for it. A Song that will not, cannot, lose their impact for you, no matter how many hours you put it on loop. A Song that don’t just encapsulate a particular feeling or time in your life, but embodies all things good in life.

I have mad respect for martial artists. I’m a kung fu film junkie to the core. One of my goals in life is to learn a martial art, but as of yet my laziness and schoolwork have teamed up to keep me from learning how to bust some faces.

I also can’t stand the Twilight saga. At all. I won’t rag on it right now, but I can rant for hours about that insipid pile of crap. In an effort to both expand my DIY horizons and find new ways to gush about stuff I like and rant about stuff I don’t, I am going to start a podcast relatively soon. By “relatively” I mean “after finals are over.” I would like nothing more than to start working on a podcast right away, but right now I’m more than a little swamped.

I don’t have a title yet, but the show will focus (if you can call it “focus”) on geeky pursuits that my cohorts and I enjoy such as movies, video games, TV, comics, and pop culture in general.

I understand that the market is already stuffed with geek-themed podcasts, so I’m taking the time to make sure this one is unique and fun. Expect the first episode shortly after the first of the new year.

Further bulletins will be posted as events warrant.

Start stockpiling canned food and ammo, gentle readers. The Japan Times reports that 151 flu patients have started exhibiting “abnormal behavior…including acting violently or uttering gibberish.” We knew it would happen one day. I had hoped it wouldn’t be this soon, but we must be ready nonetheless.

Remember, aim for the head and they’ll stay dead.
